Gilbert Goh is a passionate activist from Singapore who’s currently based in Lebanon. The 65-year-old serves as the founder of Love Aid SG. A non-governmental organisation (NGO), it mainly focuses on bringing humanitarian aid to Syrian and Palestinian refugees.

Thanks to the generous donations of Singaporeans, his efforts to help Gaza created kitchens for the malnourished, and polyclinics that attend to the medical needs of Palestinians seeking shelter at Al-Bureji refugee camp.

More recently, he deployed a team to set up an early childhood orphan care centre at Deir Al-Balah. This is important to him because he grew up without his biological parents for a significant chunk of his childhood. Naturally, he has tremendous compassion for orphans.

In the second episode of Majulah Melayu SG, he talks to Arman Shah about his tough childhood in the foster system, his drive to help the helpless through his NGO, and what Singaporeans can achieve if they dare to dream big.
